Welcome to our website, dedicated to empowering seniors with information on healthy practices for safe living at home. Our team, supported by Center of Excellence for Innovation in Affordable Housing and Sustainable Communities (CIAHSC), is committed to creating an accessible, user-friendly platform that meets the needs of seniors to easily navigate websites for information regarding a range of topics mainly focusing on healthy living at home. With a blend of technology and empathy, we aim to make navigating the digital world easier for everyone, especially our minority seniors.
Zianna Hodges
Zianna Hodges currently serves as an undergraduate research assistant and is the primary web content designer. Former A&T student, Zianna continues to pursue her passion to help the elderly & physically challenged as she studies to become an interior designer at East Carolina University. She is very self-driven and motivated by her passion and uses this to help enhance the content added to the site. Her passion for serving the elderly shines through as she engages with them to create this website tailored to their needs. Through this and many of her other acts of appreciation to her community, Zianna brings a positive prospective to serving the community and making the environment more inclusive for all.
Chidiebere Nwokeohuru
Chidiebere Nwokeohuru is a Graduate Research Assistant currently pursuing an M.Sc. in Technology Management at North Carolina A&T State University. In this role, Chidiebere Nwokeohuru leads efforts in web design and management, focusing on creating intuitive, user-friendly experiences that align with the goals of the HUD project. He is also spearheading the development of an AI based chatbot to enhance website interactivity and user engagement. With a background in data engineering and project management, AWS Solutions and now Web Design, Chidiebere Nwokeohuru brings a strong technical foundation and an innovative approach to web development and digital solutions.
Dr. Alesia Ferguson
Dr. Alesia Ferguson is currently the Chair of the Built Environment Program at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, overseeing the three Programs of Construction Management, Environmental Health and Safety and Geomatics. She is a trained environmental engineer in both basic science research and community outreach and possesses an MPH in Policy and Management. She is well published in human exposure assessment for children and adults to various contaminants (e.g., pesticides, dioxins, lead) and has been the Principal Investigator on five EPA grants to research on, and engage and educate various community groups and members on the homes dangers and health risks.
